February Monthly Photo Subject "Frozen"

September / October

March 2024

Note from the President of the FLCC.

Hi All

Well it is now March, and lots is going on. We had class's and training for a couple different topics so far this year. January we had training, discussion and hands on with "AI photography". And in February we had a class, discussion and hands on in Macro photography. March's first meeting we meet at the Flint Institute of Art and had a great time photographing whatever was of interest. Good for the March and May trainings of Color to Black and White in March, and Still Life coming up in May. See information at the bottom of this section for dates and times.

February photos of the monthly subject are above. For January I wasn't able to get the slideshow program to work.

March 21st is the next meeting. It is a photo viewing/discussion night. This month topic will be "Still Life". Along with another topic for the FIA photo trip. Members are encouraged to bring there photos from the photo visit last week. Can't wait to see the creativity from everyone that was there. Many photos of the same art, but with many different perspectives. The photos for February will also be added to the Facebook page.

One of our biggest changes last year was the start of the new Flint Lensmen Camera Club Face Book Page. Everyone is encouraged to join. You will be kept up to date on activities and events as well as training opportunities. You won't be able to post on the site unless you are a paid dues member. Please visit. We will be planning New and exciting learning events and photo trips. Everyone can join in on these trips. Some great places for great photo taking opportunities.

With each month comes the challenge of photos for the months photo subject. Along with photos for the other categories listed below.

Hoping to start an "Our Community" photo challenge that can be something of interest and will probably be a season long project.

See Facebook page and Activities section on this site. Anyone is invited to go, Member or visitor. For information please contact the club through the email right side of this page, or Facebook page.

Dues for 2024 will need to be paid first of the year. For those that have not been able to attend, please make arrangements to take care of this. Preferably come to the next held meeting.  Remember dues were lowered to just $20 a year.

Stay healthy and safe.
