Lensmen Newsletter -- January 2015

January 2015

***Change in meeting place:  Starting this month with January 8's meeting we will now regularly meet at the Flint Farmers Market in downtown Flint.  The door will be locked shortly after 6:30pm, so you must be there by then if you plan to attend a meeting.

January 8

Tonight John Hartranft of the Crim organization will speak about the upcoming Crim events that will be photo opportunities for all of our club members.  The attached file lists each of the Crim events throughout the year.  We will also see a sampling of some of our group's photos from the various Crim events that we have photographed.

January 22

**Our monthly competition is planned for tonight.  The Subject for January is "Repeating shapes".  Since December's competition was not held, it will be combined tonight with January's.  The Subject for December was "Body parts".

Since both December's and January's competitions will be combined you can enter up to 4 entries in each category except for the monthly subjects - that remains at 2 entries in December's "Body parts", and 2 entries in January's "Repeating shapes".

Digital entries must be emailed to Roger at least 4 days before the Competition meeting to be received no later than Sunday night, January 18.  No entries will be accepted after January 18 or the night of the competition.
