The Flint Lensmen Camera Club

Everybody Welcome. Come join the activities, field trips, competitions

This club was founded in 1946. present members are comprised of amateurs, professionals and everything in between.

The Flint Lensmen Camera Club meets on the 1st & 3rd Thursdays of each month September through May, unless otherwise announced. Occasionlly we meet at other times for field trips, lessons, get-togethers, etc. Our regular meetings are held at Armstrong Middle School located at 6161 Hopkins Road in Flint. We meet from 6:30 - 8:30pm.

*Note: if the weather is bad, check the radio and/or TV for school closings. We will not have a meeting if schools are closed.

But only paid members of the club can post photos.

Lensmen Newsletter -- January 2012

 

January 5

The activity tonight will be a demonstration on creating slide/movie shows using a free program by Microsoft.  Ron will demonstrate how to use your digital images, videos and music to create a show that can be shown on a computer or TV.

 

January 19

Tonight is our regular monthly competition and the subject is "Lights".
Digital entries should be emailed to Roger at least 3 days before the Competition meeting.
If you are entering prints, they must be mounted with your name, print's title and category on the back.

Print competition criteria: You can enter up to two prints in each of the following three categories in the Color Division: Open, Subject, Nature; and up to two prints in the same three categories in the Monochrome (black & white) Division for a possible total of twelve prints. Any 'manipulated' photos should be entered in the Open category.
Prints should be mounted using the following sized mount boards only: 5x7, 8x10, 11x14 or 16x20. They can be matted, but not framed.
There can not be any identifying name, etc visible on the front of the entry - all maker's info goes on the back.
