This club was founded in 1946. present members are comprised of amateurs, professionals and everything in between.
The Flint Lensmen Camera Club meets on the 2nd & 4th Thursdays of each month September through May, unless otherwise announced. Occasionlly we meet at other times for field trips, lessons, get-togethers, etc. Our regular meetings are held at Armstrong Middle School located at 6161 Hopkins Road in Flint. We meet from 6:30 - 8:30pm.
*Note: if the weather is bad, check the radio and/or TV for school closings. We will not have a meeting if schools are closed.

Regular club activities have resumed through May 2014. Members feel free to utilize the website. Non-members can visit and contact us through the website.
But only paid members of the club can post photos.

**Our new club year began in January so membership dues are due and are $25 for a year. You do not have to be a member to attend meetings, but you do have to be a member to enter competitions.
For the activity tonight we will have John Hartranft, the volunteer coordinator for the Crim Foundation races, as our guest. John will be exploring with us how the Flint Lensmen might photo document various segments of Crim activities.
**Tonight is our regular monthly competition and the subject is "Reflections".
Digital entries must be emailed to Roger at least 3 days before the Competition meeting to be received no later than Sunday night.
If you are entering prints, they must be mounted with your name, print's title and category on the back.

COMPETITION SUBJECTS FOR 2013 - 2014
September : Water
October : Flowers
November : Lighthouses
December : Models
January : HDR photos
February : Reflections
March : Trees
April : Traffic
May : Rocks/stones
Print competition criteria: You can enter up to two prints in each of the following three categories in the Color Division: Open, Subject, Nature; and up to two prints in the same three categories in the Monochrome (black & white) Division for a possible total of twelve prints. Any 'manipulated' photos should be entered in the Open category.
Prints should be mounted using the following sized mount boards only: 5x7, 8x10, 11x14 or 16x20. They can be matted, but not framed.
There can not be any identifying name, etc visible on the front of the entry - all maker's info goes on the back.
