The Flint Lensmen Camera Club

Everybody Welcome. Come join the activities, field trips, competitions

This club was founded in 1946. present members are comprised of amateurs, professionals and everything in between.

The Flint Lensmen Camera Club meets on the 2nd & 4th Thursdays of each month September through May, unless otherwise announced. Occasionlly we meet at other times for field trips, lessons, get-togethers, etc. Our regular meetings are held at the Flint Farmers Market located at 300 E. First Street in downtown Flint. We meet from 6:30 - 8:30pm.

*Note: if the weather is bad, check the radio and/or TV for school closings. We will not have a meeting if schools are closed.

The Lensmen are back from their summer break. The first regular meeting was held September 8th. Next meeting is Thursday October 11th. Members feel free to utilize the website. Non-members can visit and contact us through the website.
But only paid members of the club can post photos.

Lensmen Meetings


Our regular meetings are now at the Flint Farmers Market in downtown Flint.  We meet from 6:30 - 8:30pm., September through May, on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month, unless otherwise announced.  The Farmers Market is located at 300 E. First Street, and parking is in the parking lot at the corner of E. Second Street and Stevens Street.  The door to use is at the top of the ramp located at the truck dock in the south east corner (it is not one of the four public entrances).
**Note:  due to security issues the door will be locked shortly after 6:30pm, so you must be there by then if you plan to attend a meeting.

Everyone is welcome, from amateur to professional, and you do not have to be a member to attend.


Competition Subjects

For those of you who missed this earlier, here are the subjects we voted on for the 2016-17 year.
  • September:  Reflections
  • October:  Sunset
  • November:  Barns
  • December:  Churches
  • January:   Trains
  • February:  Birds
  • March:  Smoke
  • April:  Night
  • May:  Abandoned


Print competition criteria: You can enter up to two prints in each of the following three categories in the Color Division: Open, Subject, Nature; and up to two prints in the same three categories in the Monochrome (black & white) Division for a possible total of twelve prints. Any 'altered' photos should be entered in the Open category.
Prints should be mounted using the following sized mount boards only: 5x7, 8x10, 11x14 or 16x20. They can be matted, but not framed.
There can not be any identifying name, etc visible on the front of the entry - all maker's info goes on the back.
